How long does it take to set up your equipment?
We like to arrive at least 1 hour before the start of the event to set up, and make sure all the sound and lights are tested and working.
What happens if your equipment breaks down?
All of our equipment is quite new, and good quality. Also all of our electrical equipment is PAT Tested, but we always take back up equipment, just in case.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, we have up to £10,000,000 (Ten million pounds) public liability insurance.
Can we ask for requests?
Yes, before the event we will provide you with a password so you can access the client area to request songs, we will also provide you with a guest password to give to your guests to request songs if you wish. And of course on the day we will take requests and play as many as possible, but we will always read the audience to make sure you and your guests are up and dancing.
Will you turn up to events, or will you pass onto other DJs?
Both me and John will turn up to your event, unless one of us is ill or has an emergency, which is extremely rare. In the case that anything should happen to both of us on the same night, we would contact some other reputable DJs to get your event covered. We will not leave you in the dark at the last minute.
Can you give us advice on booking a venue?
Booking a venue is up to personal preference really, but try to make sure venues don't have sound limiters, as these will cause DJs and you a lot of problems, as they cut the power when the music reaches a certain volume, which in a lot of places, is set quite quiet. If you wish for us to use a smoke/haze machine, make sure the venue doesnt have a smoke alarm, or has one that can be isolated. Another thing is that you should try to book a venue that has a slightly higher ceiling, this is so we can get the lighting effects as high as possible, for a better looking effect.
